Procedural Text

Procedural text adalah sebuah jenis teks bacaan dalam bahasa inggris yang menjelaskan cara membuat sesuatu misalkan cara membuat pomade. Di dalam procedural text terdapat 3 pokok penulisan yaitu pencapaian atau goal. Goal adalah apa yang akan dibuat atau apa yang akan diperoleh jika kita mengikuti langkah-langkah yang ada dalam teks. Kemudian materials, berisi bahan bahan atau ingredients dan peralatan atau utensils. Kemudian steps atau langkah-langkah yang harus dilakukan. Berikut adalah contoh dari sebuah procedural text:

Aim/Goal             :               How to make pomade(Hair stylish)

Materials

Ingredients         :

500 gr beewax

250 ml petrolatum

200 ml Essential oil

200 ml aroma oils

Utensils :

Double boiler

Stove

Measuring spoon

Hand mixer

A few container

Steps:

1.       Prepare the double boiler and heat it

2.       Add in the 500 gr beewax into double boiler until it get melt

3.       You can add dye candles if you want it. Cause this time is perfect for mixing color, but if you dont want it pass this step

4.       Add in 250 ml petrolatum.

5.       And then add 50 ml essential oil and aroma oil

6.       Stir for a few minutes with handmixer until it get mix well

7.       When it mix well, put it into the container

8.       Wait until getting cold and you can use it

* You can improve the compsition of beewax petrolatum,essential oil and aroma oil for the result of pomade. If you want to shining hair you can add more the petrolatum,essential oil, and aroma oil. But if you want the hard hair you can just add the quantity of beewax.
